SQ7 Air Suspension Fault: Height Control Issues

Thanks for the input. Latest service was at 192541KM. After checking with the local shop, they confirmed its not a single faulty load sensor but rather multiple issues with the air suspension control module. The ride height discrepancy shows up especially after long drives, and the leveling system fails to adjust properly. The error codes point to the central control unit. The leveling sensor itself tests fine, but the module isnt processing the height adjustment signals correctly. Looks like this will be a more extensive repair than initially hoped. The clicking sounds mentioned are present, particularly when the height adjustment tries to engage. Shop quoted 1200 Euro for the complete fix including a new control module and system calibration.

Thanks for the update, that definitely changes the diagnosis picture. When multiple height sensors are involved and the control module shows communication issues, its often a sign of a larger system problem, just like youre experiencing. The clicking during height adjustment attempts matches what I dealt with before my control module completely failed. The price quoted for the repair 1200 Euro sounds reasonable given the complexity of the air suspension system and the parts involved. One thing to watch for after the control module replacement is proper calibration of the ride height sensors. My repair initially seemed fine, but the leveling system needed additional adjustment after about 1000km because the suspension control module wasnt properly calibrated to the vehicle load parameters. The automotive suspension system is quite complex on these models, and when the control module starts failing, it often creates a cascade of issues affecting everything from basic ride height to dynamic suspension adjustments. Make sure the shop performs a complete system reset and calibration after installing the new module. This should resolve both the uneven stance and the warning light issues youre experiencing.

The clicking during height adjustment really concerns me as it matches what everyone has described about failing control modules. I appreciate all the insights shared, especially about watching for proper calibration after the repair. The air suspension system seems more complex than I initially thought. Given the mileage at my last service and the multiple error codes showing up, replacing the control module makes sense even though its not a cheap fix. Going ahead with the 1200 Euro repair since I cant risk more damage to the leveling system. The shop confirmed theyll do a full calibration of all height sensors and verify the ride height is correct before returning the vehicle. They mentioned it should take about 2 days to complete everything including testing. The leveling sensor working fine but the module not processing signals properly explains why the stance kept getting worse after longer drives. At least now I know why the automotive suspension system was acting up and what needs to be fixed. Will update once the repair is done.

Had a similar issue with my S6 (2018) last winter. With some experience working on suspension systems, I recognized those symptoms immediately, uneven ride height and warning lights are classic signs of leveling sensor problems. The issue turned out to be a faulty control rod on the suspension load sensor. The workshop diagnosed it after checking the error codes and testing the sensor connections. Total repair cost was 110 Euro including labor. The automotive suspension system relies heavily on accurate height readings, so when the load sensor starts acting up, it throws off the entire system. The bumpy ride happens because the suspension cant properly adjust to road conditions. Quick questions to help diagnose further: Does the height difference vary between cold starts and after driving? Have you noticed any clicking sounds from the suspension area? When did the warning light first appear? Which specific error codes are you getting? Would be helpful to know these details to confirm if your issue matches what I experienced. The leveling sensor problems are relatively common on these models and usually fairly straightforward to fix once properly diagnosed.
