Stepwgn oil pressure warning light and engine noise
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Honda Stepwgn is experiencing an oil pressure warning light and loud engine noises despite a recent oil change. Possible causes include a clogged oil filter or a faulty oil pressure sensor. However, a similar case suggests that oil pump failure might be the issue. Immediate inspection by a workshop is recommended to prevent potential engine damage.

I used the oil grade recommended in the manual, so I don't think that's it. I haven't noticed any power loss, just the noise and the light. What was the problem with your Stepwgn?

Turns out it was oil pump failure. It's a known issue apparently. Given your symptoms, especially the noise and the oil pressure light even after an oil change, I'd bet that's your problem too. I'd get it checked out by a workshop ASAP before you cause serious engine damage. It cost me around 755€ to fix.

Thanks a bunch for the advice! I'll take it to a workshop first thing tomorrow. Hopefully, it's just the oil pump and nothing more serious. Really appreciate the help!

Sounds rough. I had similar symptoms on my Stepwgn a while back. Did you check the oil viscosity? Sometimes using the wrong grade can cause pressure issues. Also, have you noticed any power loss?
