Stepwgn power loss whistling noise
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Honda Stepwgn experienced power loss, a whistling noise, and a check engine light, with an error code indicating a charge air temperature sensor issue. The suspected cause was a defective cable or plug connection to the sensor. The solution involved visually inspecting the sensor connections for damage, leading to the discovery of a faulty connection, which was then replaced, resolving the problem.

Thanks for the info! When you say sensor connections, do you mean just visually inspect them for damage, or is there a specific test I should perform? Was the temperature gauge acting up in your case?

Just visually inspect first. Look for obvious corrosion or damage to the wires and the connector itself. If everything looks good, then I'd take it to a workshop. That's what I did with my Astra, and they sorted it out quickly.

Appreciate the advice. I took it to a local workshop as suggested, and they confirmed it was indeed a faulty connection to the charge air temperature sensor. They replaced the connector, and the total repair cost was 95€. The car is running smoothly again. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra. Same symptoms: check engine light, power loss, and weird noises. The error code pointed to a faulty sensor as well. I would check the sensor connections first.
