Strada overheating electric fan issue

Hey, I've got a 2023 Fiat Strada diesel with about 181766 km on it. It's overheating, and the electric fan seems to be the problem. I'm thinking it might be a bad cable or plug. Anyone else run into this?

Summary of the thread

A 2023 Fiat Strada diesel with high mileage is experiencing overheating issues, suspected to be caused by a malfunctioning electric fan. The initial thought is that a bad cable or plug might be the cause. After consulting with others, it is suggested to check the fan clutch and consider professional inspection. Ultimately, the problem is resolved by fixing a bad cable connection at a workshop.

I've got a Strada too, can't remember the year. Had a similar overheating problem once. It's a pain. Did you check the fan clutch? Sometimes it's not the motor itself, but something else in the cooling system.

Thanks! I'm not too familiar with that part. Where is the fan clutch located, and how would I check it?

I'm no expert, but you might want to take it to a workshop. Sounds like an electrical issue like you thought. I did, and they fixed it quick. Might be best to avoid causing more damage.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to a workshop, and you were right, it was a bad cable connection. Cost me 95€. Glad it's fixed.
