Strada rough engine running

Experiencing rough engine running and stalling at idle on my 2017 Fiat Strada with a gasoline engine. It has 245358 km. Check engine light is on, and it jerks when accelerating. I suspect a defective ignition coil, focusing on the cable or plug connection. Anyone experienced something similar?

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my old Opel Corsa. The ignition system was causing misfires. Check the ignition coil pack, it might be the culprit.

Thanks. Do you remember any specific details about the ignition coil issue on your Corsa? Was it visibly damaged or was it something else?

It wasn't visibly damaged, but the mechanic said the connection was faulty. I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop to be sure. Could be the same problem.

You were right, it was indeed the ignition coil. The cable connection was defective. Replaced it, and the issues are gone. Total cost was 95€ Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
