Strange noises and slipping gearshift in an A-Class (built in 2007): Looking for advice and competent mechanics

Hey guys, I've got a little problem that's really worrying me. My A-Class (built in 2007, petrol engine, 50299 km on the odometer) makes strange noises when changing gear and the gearshift sometimes slips. I think there may be a problem with the transmission control unit. Has anyone had similar experiences and can give me advice on which mechanics are good at dealing with this? Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2010 E-Class model. I noticed that the shifting would be weird when driving, and the mechanic finally told me that my transmission control unit was faulty. This is definitely a more serious problem. I had to leave my car in the shop for a couple days so they could replace the whole part. Do yourself a favor and take it to someone who knows about it.
