So, when you say wiring harness, where exactly am I looking? I'm not exactly a mechanic! And about the ride, it seems consistently bumpy, never goes away.

It's typically located near the suspension components themselves, so trace the wires coming from the shock absorbers. But honestly, given that it's consistent and you're not too familiar with the setup, I'd just take it to a workshop. They'll diagnose it properly and can probably fix it faster than you messing with it and potentially making it worse.

Yeah, you're probably right. I took it to the shop, and you nailed it – it was a faulty plug connection. Cost me 95€ to fix. Thanks for the advice!

I had something similar on my Suburban, though I can’t remember the exact year. Check the wiring harness that goes to the suspension components. By 'damping adjustment fault', they mean that the car's computer cannot properly control how soft or stiff the shock absorbers are. The computer sends electrical signals to adjust the damping, and if the wires are damaged or loose, the signals get interrupted, leading to the error and the rough ride. Is the ride always bumpy or does it change?
