Suburban fuel level sensor fault
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Chevrolet Suburban is experiencing a check engine light and occasional stalling at idle, with an error indicating a fuel level sensor fault. The owner has checked the wiring but found no obvious issues and is considering whether a defective fuse could be the cause. The erratic behavior of the fuel gauge suggests a faulty fuel level sensor, and replacing the sensor in the fuel tank is recommended as a solution.

Yes, the fuel gauge does fluctuate erratically. The needle will drop suddenly even when the tank is relatively full. What was the solution for your Renault Scenic?

Okay, so it sounds like the same thing. Honestly, I tried a few things but ended up just taking it to the workshop. They replaced the sensor in the fuel tank. Cost me around 80€ on my Renault. Better have it checked before it leaves you stranded somewhere!

I appreciate the advice. I will schedule an appointment with a trusted workshop. The repair, including a new sensor, came to 52€. Thanks again for your help!

Hey! I had a similar problem with my old Renault Scenic, though it was a diesel. The car dashboard was going nuts and I suspected a faulty sensor. Turned out the fuel tank sensor was sending weird signals. Does the fuel gauge seem to be acting erratically too?
