The temperature gauge is indeed spiking. Coolant level is fine. Where exactly is the fan relay located? And did you manage to fix the problem yourself?

The fan relay is usually near the fuse box under the hood, but it's best to check the service manual for the exact location. In my case, it turned out to be a faulty connection, but I had a workshop take care of it. Saved me a lot of hassle.

Thanks for the info. I'll check the relay location. I think I'll take it to a workshop as well. The diagnostic pointed to a defective cable/plug, and the repair was 95€. Much appreciated!

I had a similar issue with my Sunny. Is the temperature gauge spiking? Have you checked the fan relay and the coolant level? Could be a simple fix, or something more involved with the cooling system.
