Sunny Windshield Washer Heater Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Nissan Sunny is experiencing a windshield washer heater fault, leading to frozen spray nozzles in cold temperatures. The issue persists despite checking the fuse box. A similar problem was resolved by inspecting the cable and plug connection to the heater, which may be loose or defective. It is suggested to have a professional workshop examine and potentially fix the connection, as it can be difficult to access.

Interesting, thanks for the tip! Where exactly is that cable and plug located? I've been poking around but haven't been able to find it. Is it hard to get to?

From what I remember, it's a bit tricky to reach. It's usually under the windshield, near the washer fluid reservoir, closer to the heating element. If it is the cable or a defective plug connection, as in my case, it’s probably best to get it checked at a workshop. I ended up going that route; they sorted it out quickly. Much easier than wrestling with it myself in the cold!

Thanks for the advice! I think I'll take your advice and bring it to the shop. I got a quote for around 95€, which doesn't sound too bad. Hopefully, that cable or plug connection is the issue. Appreciate the help!

Hey, I've got a Sunny as well, though I can't recall the exact year. The windshield washer heater gave me similar grief last winter – error codes popping up and frozen nozzles. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the heater itself? That was the culprit in my case; seemed like a loose connection.
