SupraIV Automatic Transmission Issue

My 2023 Toyota SupraIV with a gasoline engine is acting up. Only 54905 km and the automatic transmission is throwing a fit. It's shifting wrong, the transmission indicator light is on, and it doesn't shift right. Sometimes it even goes into emergency mode! I'm guessing it's something with the automatic transmission oil, anyone else had this?

Whoa, sounds rough! I had something similar happen in my SupraIV. Was the transmission slipping a lot, especially when accelerating? Have you checked the voltage in your car? An undervoltage could cause the weird shifting.

Slipping, yes! It feels like it's struggling to find the right gear, and sometimes revs really high before finally shifting. Undervoltage, huh? How would that affect the transmission?

Yeah, that's exactly what I experienced! The automatic transmission is super sensitive to voltage fluctuations. Low voltage can mess with the solenoids and sensors that control the shifting. It's worth getting it checked out by a workshop. They can diagnose the undervoltage and see if it damaged anything else. Definitely get the transmission oil replaced too.

Thanks so much for the tip! Took it to a shop, and you were spot on. Turns out there was indeed an undervoltage issue, and it messed with the transmission. They replaced the oil, and the car is shifting smoothly again. Cost me 240€, but worth it to have my SupraIV back to normal!
