Thanks for sharing your injector test experience. Those symptoms match mine exactly, the hard starting and rough idle were really frustrating. Getting proper fuel rail diagnostics made all the difference. Had mine fixed about 6 months ago but I forgot the total cost. Mind sharing what you paid for the fuel system repair? My mechanic also mentioned potential sensor issues but those turned out fine after fixing the injectors. Has everything been running smoothly since the repair? No cold start problems coming back?

Since having the faulty cold start injector replaced 6 months ago at my trusted mechanic, the Suzuki Swift has been running perfectly. Total cost was 515€ for diagnosing and replacing the defective injection valve. No more rough idle or starting problems whatsoever. The thorough injector test confirmed my initial suspicion about the fuel system being the culprit. The investment was worth every cent considering how smoothly the engine runs now, especially during those chilly morning starts. I would have faced much bigger repair bills if I had kept driving with the faulty injector. Proper fuel injection diagnosis and repair prevented damage to other engine components. Even fuel consumption has noticeably improved since the fix. The sensor readings are all normal now too. Getting the injector cleaning and replacement done by a specialist who really knows fuel system diagnostics made all the difference.

Thanks everyone for the helpful replies. Wanted to share how my repair experience turned out. Took it to a specialized fuel system shop last week. The diagnostic testing revealed two clogged injectors causing my cold start problems and rough idle. The technician showed me the blocked spray patterns, pretty eye-opening to see the actual problem. The repair included ultrasonic cleaning of all injectors and replacing one that was too far gone. Total came to 430€ including testing. Much better than risking further engine damage. Car starts perfectly now, even on cold mornings. The rough running is completely gone and fuel delivery is smooth. Definitely worth finding a shop with proper diagnostic equipment rather than just guessing at the problem. Really glad I got this sorted before winter. The fuel rail pressure is now exactly where it should be according to the final test results.

Had similar symptoms with my 2010 Suzuki Swift 1.6L gasoline engine. The hard starting and rough idle during cold starts turned out to be failing fuel injectors. The fuel delivery system needed thorough testing after basic diagnostics failed to pinpoint the issue. A fuel pressure test revealed inconsistent spray patterns from the injectors. The engine misfire during cold starts was caused by carbon buildup inside the injectors, preventing proper fuel atomization. The repair required removing and ultrasonically cleaning all injectors, plus replacing two that were beyond salvage. This resolved both the cold start problems and rough running. Important to note this was a serious issue that could have led to catalytic converter damage if left unaddressed. Testing suggestions: Fuel pressure test, Injector spray pattern analysis, Compression test to rule out mechanical issues, Fuel system cleaning Best to have specialized diagnostic equipment for accurate fuel injection testing rather than relying on basic scan tools. The symptoms often worsen gradually until complete failure occurs.
