Swift Oil Pressure Warning Despite Full Oil Level

Had my last service done 2500km ago and everything seemed fine until now. After checking earlier responses and comparing sensor issues, this definitely sounds like a similar problem to mine. Already checked the oil levels manually multiple times, all normal. The warning appears mostly at idle, which matches the faulty sensor symptoms others mentioned. The car maintenance records are clean and oil signal behavior matches the wiring issue described. Hopefully its just a loose connection causing these oil gauge readings rather than a complete sensor replacement. Will have it checked at the next service interval which is coming up in about 500km anyway.

Thanks for the additional details. Based on your service history and symptoms, this really does mirror the wiring issue I had with my Baleno. The fact that your warning appears mostly at idle is particularly telling, this was exactly how my faulty connection manifested. Since your engine oil levels check out and the timing matches the idle-specific warnings, I strongly suspect you are dealing with the same electrical connection problem in the oil detection system that I encountered. The vibrations at idle can cause intermittent contact in loose connections, triggering false oil pressure warnings. My repair experience suggests you should prepare for: A diagnostic scan of the oil monitoring system, Inspection of wiring around the oil pressure sensor, Testing of electrical connections while engine is at idle The fix should be relatively straightforward if its the same issue. For reference, my total repair costs were 95€, though prices may vary. Keep in mind that while waiting for your service appointment, its wise to keep checking your engine oil level manually, just to be safe. Given the matching symptoms and similar vehicle platform, I recommend mentioning these specific symptoms to your technician to help speed up diagnosis.

The conversation wraps up well from my perspective. Thanks for all the detailed responses about the oil sensor issues. Its good to know that a simple wiring problem could be causing all these warnings. Since my car maintenance is due soon anyway, Ill make sure to point out the idle-specific nature of the warnings and possible connection issues to the technician. Its reassuring that the oil monitoring system can be fixed without major work, and that the repair costs seem reasonable. Will keep an eye on the engine oil levels manually until the service appointment, but feeling much better about this being a relatively simple fix rather than a major problem. Ill update the forum once I get the car checked and know the actual cause of these oil pressure warnings. Hoping its just the wiring like in the other cases shared here.

I had a similar issue with my 2013 Suzuki Baleno with the 1.4L gasoline engine. As someone with some experience working on cars, I first verified the engine oil level manually and checked the oil monitoring system for accurate readings. After multiple automotive oil checks showed normal levels but persistent warning lights, I took it to a workshop. The diagnostic scan revealed that the oil sensor was functioning correctly, but there was a loose connection in the wiring harness leading to the oil detection system. The fix was straightforward, the technician found and repaired a damaged cable connection near the oil pressure sensor. Total cost was 95€ including diagnostics and repair work. Since then, the warning light hasnt returned and the oil monitoring system works perfectly. Before suggesting more specific solutions for your Swift, could you share: Engine size and type, Current mileage, When was the last oil change performed, Does the warning appear more frequently at idle or while driving, Are there any unusual engine noises This information would help determine if your issue matches what I experienced or if its something different.
