Sylphy seat heater failure

Wiring and fuse? I don't know if he checked that specifically. He just plugged in his computer, saw the error, and said it's probably the heating mat. Could I check the wiring and fuse myself, or should I leave it to a professional?

Checking the fuse is easy – your owner's manual should show you where the fuse box is and which fuse controls the seat heater. Wiring is trickier; you'd need a multimeter to test for continuity. Honestly, based on my experience, it’s probably the heating mat itself. I ended up taking mine to a workshop, and they confirmed it was the mat. A bit of a pain, but at least it's fixed. I would recommend doing the same.

Okay, thanks a bunch for the advice! Sounds like I'm heading to the workshop then. My guy quoted me about 390€ to replace the heating mat, so I'm hoping that will sort it out. I'll post what happens!

Sounds familiar. I've got a Sylphy too, and I had a similar problem with my seat heater a while back. Same symptoms – cold seat, error code. From what I remember, the heating element itself is usually the issue. Before replacing the whole seat, did the mechanic check the wiring and the fuse?
