T-Cross Memory Fault Fix Needed, Code Won't Clear

Can anyone help with persistent fault memory lock? My T-Cross control unit shows an error thats stuck in the computer system memory. Already tried a mechanic but wasnt satisfied with the service. Car specs: 2020 model, gasoline engine, 36068km. Has anyone dealt with similar fault codes and found a reliable fix? Looking for recommendations on how to proceed.

Had a similar issue with my 2017 VW Polo TSI where the automotive diagnostics system kept showing persistent fault codes. The main problem turned out to be an undervoltage condition affecting multiple control units. The fault memory lock was actually protecting the car electronics from damage due to a failing voltage regulator. Despite multiple attempts to clear the active memory, the fault codes kept returning within minutes of clearing them. The fix required: Complete battery system diagnostic, Replacement of the voltage regulator, Recalibration of the control units, Professional reset of the computer system This was definitely a serious issue as continued operation could have damaged multiple electronic components. The voltage fluctuations were affecting everything from the engine management to basic functions. A standard fault code reader wasnt enough to solve this. The repair required specialized diagnostic equipment to properly identify the root cause. The computer system needed proper voltage levels restored before it would release the fault memory lock. After the repair, all systems returned to normal operation and the fault codes cleared permanently. Would strongly recommend having this checked by a workshop with proper diagnostic capabilities, as voltage issues can cascade into bigger problems if left unaddressed.

Just had this exact problem with my T-Cross last winter. The fault memory lock kept appearing and several fault codes showed up in the computer system. My mechanic traced it to a faulty control module that was causing active memory issues. After replacing the module and doing a complete system reset, the problem was completely resolved. The car has been running perfectly since, no warning lights or error messages. Did you ever get yours fixed? Curious what it ended up costing, as prices seem to vary quite a bit for this type of repair. Also wondering if youve had any other electrical gremlins pop up since then?

Good to hear you had the same issue resolved. After seeing a specialist mechanic with proper ECU diagnostics equipment, the fault memory lock was successfully cleared from my T-Cross. The automotive diagnostics revealed that the undervoltage condition was causing the computer system to protect itself. The total repair came to 240€, which included a thorough check of all car electronics and the necessary fixes to restore proper voltage levels. Since the repair, the control unit has been functioning perfectly with no recurring fault codes or electrical issues. The specialist confirmed it was critical to address this promptly, as continued undervoltage conditions can damage multiple electronic components. Having the right diagnostic tools made all the difference in properly identifying and fixing the root cause. The car has been running flawlessly for several months now with no warning lights or electrical problems. The investment in proper repairs was definitely worth it to prevent more expensive damage to the electronic systems.

Thanks for the input. Just wanted to wrap up and share how I finally got this sorted. Took my T-Cross to a specialized workshop that focuses on car electronics and ECU diagnostics. The technician found the fault memory lock was triggered by a failing voltage regulator, similar to what others mentioned. The diagnostic scan revealed multiple control unit errors that kept reappearing even after clearing. The total repair cost came to 320€ including: Complete system diagnosis, Voltage regulator replacement, ECU reprogramming, Final diagnostic verification Been driving for about 3 months now without any issues. No warning lights, no error codes, and all electronics working perfectly. Really glad I went with a specialist shop instead of the regular mechanic who couldnt properly diagnose it. For anyone facing similar problems, definitely worth finding a workshop that specializes in automotive diagnostics. The right equipment and expertise made all the difference in getting this fixed properly the first time.
