Thanks for the insight about cleaning and calibration. To answer your questions: The issues are constant and have persisted since last week. Warning lights include the front assist system and adaptive cruise control warnings. No recent front-end work. Just had my regular service at 114288km, where they didnt spot any issues with the driving assistance systems. The radar sensor seems to malfunction regardless of weather or driving conditions. Going by the error codes scanned at home, multiple safety systems are affected simultaneously. The electronic issue appears more severe than just dirt accumulation, as even after cleaning the sensor area thoroughly, the warnings persist. Would anyone knowing the actual repair costs for radar sensor replacement share their experience?

Thanks for the additional details. Your situation does sound more serious than my initial sensor cleaning experience. After hearing about the persistent warnings regardless of cleaning, Im more convinced its an actual sensor failure rather than environmental factors. When my T-Cross later developed a complete radar sensor failure (about 6 months after the cleaning incident), the replacement and calibration cost came to 890€. The repair included: New radar sensor unit, Programming and coding, System calibration, Testing all affected systems The workshop needed the car for a full day since the calibration process for the collision avoidance system is quite detailed. After replacement, all the automotive sensors worked perfectly again, including the adaptive cruise and front assist features. Given your symptoms persist after cleaning and occur regardless of conditions, I recommend getting it checked soon. A failing radar sensor can compromise multiple safety systems. My experience showed that continuing to drive with sensor malfunction warnings active isnt worth the risk, especially since these systems are integral to modern vehicle safety. Would you be able to get your error codes scanned professionally? This could confirm if its definitely the radar sensor and not another component causing similar symptoms.

Thanks for all the detailed radar sensor information. I think Im dealing with something quite serious based on the similarities to your later sensor failure rather than just the cleaning fix. The 890€ cost reference helps set my expectations for the repair. I actually got the error codes professionally scanned yesterday. The diagnostic report confirms multiple driving assistance systems are affected, with the main fault pointing directly to the radar sensor. The electronic issue seems isolated to the sensor unit itself rather than related components. Given the safety implications you mentioned, Im scheduling a workshop visit for next week. The collision avoidance and other safety features being compromised isnt something I want to risk, even though the cost is significant. Better to address the sensor malfunction properly than drive with reduced safety systems. Will update the forum once I get the final diagnosis and repair completed. This thread might help others facing similar radar calibration and sensor issues in the future.

Having some experience with VW sensor systems, I had a similar issue with my 2017 T-Cross that showed multiple system failures. The symptoms matched yours exactly, warning lights, adaptive cruise control issues, and stored error codes all pointing to automotive sensors problems. The radar sensor was indeed the culprit, but the root cause was simply dirt and road grime accumulation on the sensor surface. The collision avoidance system is particularly sensitive to any obstruction of the radar sensor. My workshop did a thorough cleaning and recalibration of the sensor system. The entire process took about an hour and cost 45€. Since then, all systems have been functioning perfectly. Before you head to a workshop, could you share: Are the issues constant or intermittent? Have you noticed any pattern when the problems occur (weather conditions, speed)? Which specific warning lights are showing up? Have you recently had any front-end work done? This information would help determine if your sensor malfunction is similar to what I experienced or if its something more complex. A quick visual inspection of the front radar sensor area might also reveal obvious dirt or debris causing the issue.
