Tacoma Damping Adjustment Issue

Alright Tacoma gurus, I've got a head-scratcher. My 2018 Toyota Tacoma, gasoline engine, with just under 40k kilometers is throwing a fit. The damping adjustment seems to be on the fritz. I've got an error code stored, a warning light mocking me from the speedometer, and the ride feels like I'm driving a stagecoach over cobblestones. Anyone else seen this gremlin? Already checked the basics, like looking at the wheel speed sensors, but it's got me pulling my hair out.

Dude, I think I know exactly what you're talking about! I had a similar thing happen with my Tacoma. Same bumpy ride and warning light. Have you checked the connections on the shock absorbers? Those things can be real sensitive. For me, it turned out to be a corroded plug. Start there, it might save you a fortune!

Whoa, really? On the shock absorbers themselves? Which connection exactly? Was it obvious corrosion, or did you have to dig around to find it? This is a lifesaver if it's just a crummy connection. I just want to be sure I find the right spot!

Yeah, exactly! On the shock itself. Honestly, it wasn't super obvious at first glance, but when I unplugged it, I could see some green gunk. Cleaned it up, plugged it back in, and the problem vanished. But if you don't see that, it still could be the culprit. If it doesn't work after cleaning, it's time to go to the workshop.

Dude, you nailed it! Took your advice, checked the connections on the shocks, and sure enough, corroded connector on one of them. Cleaned it up, reconnected, and the error's gone! Ride's smooth again. Cost me 95€ for the cleaning material. You saved me a ton of time and probably a load of cash. Thanks a million!
