Tacoma Power Window Failure

Hey forum, my 2002 Toyota Tacoma with a gasoline engine has a power window issue. They stopped working after I replaced the battery. I scanned and got an error about the window regulator failing to initialize. Odometer is at 147078 km. Anyone seen this before? I checked fuses and the switch.

I had something similar on my Tacoma. They're sensitive. Did you try the window reset procedure? Hold the switch down a few seconds after it's fully down, then up after it's fully up. Do it for each window before you tear into the door.

Thanks! Can you explain the 'window reset procedure' more? I tried disconnecting the battery again, but no luck. Is there a specific sequence or time to hold the switch? Don't want to take apart the door if I don't have to.

Basically, cycle each window fully down, holding the switch for maybe 5 seconds after it stops. Then fully up, holding it again for 5 seconds. If that doesn't work, you might need a proper reset at a workshop. Sometimes they just need the scan tool to re-initialize everything after a battery change. Better than messing something up.

Thanks for the help! I went to a technician, and they said the window regulators needed a re-initialization with their tool. Cost me 290€, which I think is fair considering I could have made it worse.
