Tacoma Power Window Failure

I'm having trouble with my 2023 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid. The power windows on both sides suddenly stopped working. They don't respond at all. I scanned for error codes and found one related to the window regulator circuit. I think it might be a bad power window switch, but I want to hear suggestions before I start taking things apart.

I had a similar problem with my Tacoma. Sounds like the same symptoms. Did you check the wiring harness that goes from the body to the door? They can get pinched or damaged, causing the window circuit to fail sometimes. It's like a kinked hose reducing water flow; the electricity can't get through properly.

That's a good point; I hadn't thought about the wiring harness. Where is the harness located? Can I get to it easily, or do I need to remove the door panel to inspect it?

The harness is between the door and the body, usually covered by a rubber boot. You'll probably need to partially remove the door panel to get a good look. But, since the error code points to the regulator circuit and both windows failed completely, a faulty switch is still likely. It might be good to have a workshop diagnose it. They're like doctors for cars and can pinpoint the problem.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local mechanic. It turned out the power window switch was defective, like I thought. The repair cost 200€. I appreciate the help narrowing down the possibilities and confirming what I suspected before diving in.
