Tacuma Intake Air Temperature Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Chevrolet Tacuma experienced issues with the check engine light, reduced power, and rough running. The diagnostic tool indicated a potential problem with the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor. A faulty IAT sensor can indeed cause these symptoms. The suggested solutions included checking the sensor's wiring, cleaning it, or consulting a mechanic for diagnosis and replacement, which ultimately resolved the issue.

Thanks! I haven't checked the wiring or cleaned the sensor yet. Where is the IAT sensor located in the engine bay? And how do I clean it without breaking it?

Finding the IAT sensor can be tricky, depending on the engine. I fiddled around forever. Given your symptoms and the error code, and to avoid messing anything up, I'd get a mechanic to look at it. It might save you time and money, even just for a diagnosis.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a shop. The intake air temperature sensor was bad and they replaced it. The total cost was 155€ Thanks again!

I had a similar problem with my Tacuma: check engine light, loss of power, the works. An IAT sensor problem definitely sounds right. Did you check the sensor's wiring or try cleaning the sensor? That can help rule out easy stuff before replacing it.
