Talento cylinder pressure fluctuation
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Fiat Talento diesel with 93,061 km exhibited higher fuel consumption, reduced power, and a check engine light, with diagnostic codes indicating cylinder pressure fluctuation. The issue was suspected to be related to components like the timing belt, piston rings, turbocharger, spark plug, or camshaft. However, it was ultimately identified as a faulty sensor causing the fluctuations. Replacing the sensor resolved the problem without any repair cost.

Thanks for the reply! It seems to be fluctuating on all cylinders, but not consistently. I am unsure whether they checked for any other fault codes beforehand. Could this really be a consequential error resulting from another error?

Yes, it sounds like a consequential issue. Mine turned out to be a sensor problem causing the fluctuations. I would suggest taking it to a reputable workshop to get a proper diagnosis. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks a lot! Indeed it turned out to be a faulty sensor. The garage replaced it and the cylinder pressure fluctuation disappeared right after. Repair cost was 0€!

I also have a Talento, and I experienced something similar. Was the fluctuation on all cylinders or just one? Did the garage check for any other fault codes first?
