Talento injection issue

I'm having issues with my 2022 Fiat Talento diesel, about 130k on the clock. The injection system seems to be acting up. I'm noticing higher fuel consumption, a reduction in engine power, and it occasionally stalls when idling. Plus, there's a bit of smoke when I accelerate. I've checked the air filter, fuel lines, etc. Any ideas?

That sounds rough! Injection problems can be a pain. Have you checked the electrical connections to the injectors themselves? A loose or corroded plug could definitely cause those symptoms. Is the engine light on? Any codes?

I've seen some reports of issues with the main harness connection to the fuel rail. Give that a wiggle and see if anything changes. Honestly though, with those symptoms, it really needs proper diagnostics. Time for a workshop, I reckon.

You were spot on about the electrical connections. Took it to a local garage and they found a defective plug connection on one of the injectors. New plug, and it's running like a dream again! Cost me 95€.
