Talento radiator oil pressure issue

Hi, I have a 2022 Fiat Talento with a gasoline engine. I'm having issues with what I suspect is the radiator oil pressure. The transmission indicator and check engine light are both on. The automatic transmission is stuck in emergency mode and isn't shifting correctly, almost like it's slipping and making grinding noises. I also scanned for error codes. My mechanic suspects it is likely a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Fiat Talento owner is experiencing issues with the radiator oil pressure, indicated by the transmission and check engine lights being on, and the automatic transmission stuck in emergency mode with slipping and grinding noises. The suspected cause is a defective cable or plug connection. A fellow Talento owner suggests checking the cooling fan, oil cooler, and pressure sensor, but ultimately recommends professional diagnosis. The issue is confirmed to be a defective cable/plug connection, which is resolved at a workshop.

Hey, I've got a Talento as well, and that sounds awfully familiar! When mine acted up, I had the same symptoms, the lights, the slipping, everything. Did you check the cooling fan? Maybe also take a look at the oil cooler to make sure there's no coolant leak? Is the pressure sensor working fine?

Thanks for the tip! I'll check the cooling fan and oil cooler for leaks. Where exactly is the pressure sensor located? And what should I look for specifically when checking the cable/plug connections?

The sensor's usually near the radiator, but honestly, with all those symptoms and potential cable issues, I'd advise getting it checked by a professional workshop. I managed to pinpoint the issue myself, but it was quite the hassle. It would be faster and you can be sure about what's wrong. Good luck!

Thanks a lot for your help and suggestion! I did bring it to the workshop. Turns out it was indeed a defective cable/plug connection, as suspected. Repair cost was 95€. Appreciate the advice!
