Talento Washer Fluid Warning
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Fiat Talento with an electric engine displayed a persistent 'Washer fluid low' warning despite a full reservoir, and the windshield washer system stopped working. The issue was suspected to be a faulty sensor or a blocked pump intake. After checking for leaks and blockages, it was suggested to empty and refill the washer fluid to clear any sediment. The problem was resolved at a garage, where a slightly blocked pump intake was cleaned, and the error code was cleared, fixing the issue.

I haven't completely emptied and refilled it, just topped it off. How would sediment cause a warning light, though? Isn't the sensor just a float that detects low levels?

The float could be stuck due to sediment, or the pump intake clogged, causing low pressure which triggers the warning. Since you've checked the basics, and it's still under warranty, I would suggest taking it to a workshop. They'll have diagnostic tools to pinpoint the exact issue.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a local garage and you were spot on. It turned out to be a combination of a slightly blocked pump intake, triggering the low-level sensor prematurely. They cleaned it out, refilled the system, and cleared the error code. Cost me 25€. All good now.

Could be a faulty sensor giving you a false reading. Or maybe the pump is struggling despite the reservoir appearing full. Did you completely empty and refill the washer fluid to ensure there aren't any sediments blocking the intake?
