Talisman ABS and Tire Pressure Issues

I am experiencing an issue with my 2017 Renault Talisman diesel. I'm receiving a persistent low tire pressure warning. Alongside this, the ABS lamp is illuminated. I've also noticed a vibration in the steering wheel, increased steering effort suggesting potential power steering failure. Current mileage is 106849 kilometers. I have checked each tire with a gauge, and it appears I have a pressure loss at the rear passenger side. I suspected a punctured tire, but no visible object there. Could a faulty tire pressure sensor cause those symptoms?

Summary of the thread

A 2017 Renault Talisman diesel is experiencing a persistent low tire pressure warning, an illuminated ABS lamp, and steering issues. The tire pressure loss is traced to the rear passenger side, with no visible puncture. A faulty tire pressure sensor is suspected, but a workshop diagnosis confirms a defective valve stem causing the leak. The valve replacement resolves the issue.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I had something similar with my Talisman. Same tire pressure warning and ABS light coming on intermittently. Did you check the tire closely for any punctures, even small ones? How quickly does the pressure drop?

I scanned the tire but did not find anything obvious. I used soapy water, but found no bubbles. The pressure drops about 0.2 bar per day. As I mentioned, the ABS lamp is illuminated, there is a strong shaking in the steering wheel and hard steering. Could the ABS fault be triggered by the low tire?

Yes, I would expect that the system can behave like that. But I bet it’s the valve. My eventual diagnosis was a defective valve stem leaking slowly. The tire pressure dropping that fast suggests a leak. I strongly suspect a faulty valve in tire from your description. Better have workshop to check it, rather then making assumptions as the the problem is

Many thanks for the helpful comments. It appears you are correct. The workshop confirmed a faulty valve in the rear passenger side tire. The total repair cost, including valve replacement and rebalancing, came to 280€. Appreciate the advice.
