Talisman Brake Pedal Feedback
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Renault Talisman owner experienced strange feedback from the brake pedal, suspecting worn brakes or undervoltage as potential causes. Another individual suggested checking the brake calipers and disc brakes for even wear, as a sticking or seizing caliper could cause unusual pedal feedback. After a detailed inspection, it was confirmed that a sticking caliper was the issue, which was resolved by installing new calipers, pads, and rotors.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did a quick visual check, and the rotors seem okay, but I haven't thoroughly inspected the calipers. Could a caliper issue really cause that weird pedal feedback?

Yes, a sticking or seizing caliper can definitely cause unusual brake pedal feedback and uneven pad wear. I recommend a detailed inspection and potential replacement of faulty components at a certified workshop.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. Took it to the shop, and you were right. It was indeed a sticking caliper. New ones installed, along with fresh pads and rotors, and all is good now. Cost me 240€, but worth it for the peace of mind.

I had a similar issue on my Talisman. The squeaky brakes were driving me nuts and the pedal feel was inconsistent. Did you check the brake calipers for proper function and disc brakes for even wear?
