Talisman Defrost Flap Error

Hi, I have a 2017 Renault Talisman diesel with 93003 km. I'm getting an error related to the defrost air distribution flap. The error is stored in the memory, and the heater output is quite low. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Anyone else experienced this?

Summary of the thread

A 2017 Renault Talisman owner experienced an error related to the defrost air distribution flap, resulting in low heater output and erratic temperature regulation. The suspected cause was a defective cable or plug connection. Another Talisman owner confirmed a similar issue and suggested checking the connections. The problem was resolved by repairing a faulty plug connection, costing 95€.

I have a Talisman as well, and I recall a similar issue. The dashboard panel can be a pain to access. Was the temperature regulation all over the place before the heater output dropped?

Temperature regulation was indeed erratic. What was your fix?

It sounds like the same problem I had. The root cause was exactly what you're thinking, a faulty connection. I would suggest visiting the workshop.

Thanks for the info! Turns out you were spot on. It was indeed a defective plug connection for the defrost flap. Repair cost 95€. All sorted now!
