The diagnostics are pointing towards a defective motor in the brake calliper, which I think is pretty similar to what you are describing. What was the repair cost when yours failed?

If it's the motor in the calliper, brace yourself. I ended up having to replace the whole calliper unit. Unfortunately, it's not usually possible to just swap out the motor. Aftermarket diagnostics pointed to the same thing and the workshop visit confirmed it. It was a pain.

Thanks! I dropped it off at the workshop today. They quoted 505€ for the calliper replacement, which sounds about right. Hopefully, that'll be the end of it. I appreciate the insight!

Sounds familiar. I've got a Talisman too, and experienced almost exactly the same thing a while back. The electronic parking brake just gave up. Did the diagnostics mention anything specific about which part of the system is failing? Mine turned out to be a dodgy motor.
