Talisman lighting fault
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Renault Talisman is experiencing a lighting fault where the lights switch on intermittently, and an error is stored in the error memory. The issue is suspected to be caused by a defective cable or plug connection, specifically related to the headlight switch. The suggested solution is to confirm the diagnosis with a mechanic and potentially replace the faulty light switch or repair the connection.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, I suspect it is the headlight switch. The dashboard lights seem unaffected. Did you have to replace the entire switch assembly?

Yes, it was the headlight switch. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to confirm the diagnosis, but it sounds very similar to what I experienced with my vehicle and what I eventually had to do.

Thanks for confirming. So, my mechanic has identified the issue as a faulty light switch, cable or plug connection. Repair cost is estimated at 95€. I'll proceed with the repair.

I also have a Talisman and encountered something similar. Was it the headlight switch specifically causing the problems, or were any other dashboard lights affected? Might also be the dimmer switch.
