Talisman Oil Level Sensor Fault

I'm seeing an error message on my 2020 Renault Talisman gasoline. Diagnostic check shows a fault related to the oil level sensor, specifically, a faulty signal. The warning light illuminates intermittently, and the oil pressure warning lamp has also been lighting up. The car has 55098 km on it. Could this be a faulty sensor, or a more serious problem?

Thanks for the description. Given the symptoms and the error code, it sounds like the oil level sensor or its wiring might be the issue. Have you inspected the cable and plug connection of the sensor? A defective connection is a common problem.

I haven't inspected the cable and plug connection yet, as I'm not confident in my abilities to do so without causing further issues. What should I be looking for when inspecting the connection?

I understand your hesitation. Given your lack of experience, it is safer to have it professionally diagnosed. The error message and warning lights suggest a problem with the oil level detection system, and a faulty sensor or its wiring are likely causes. A workshop visit is advisable. The repair cost should be around 95€.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions and for the cost estimation. I'll take it to a trusted workshop for inspection and repair of the oil level sensor. I appreciate your help!
