That sounds like it could be it. How did you figure out it was the MAP sensor specifically? And what was involved in getting it fixed?

The symptoms were almost exactly the same, and a mechanic suggested that there's probably a large vacuum leakage, which damaged the sensor. I had it checked at a workshop, and they confirmed it was the faulty manifold pressure sensor. Replacing it sorted everything out. Best to get it checked professionally though, just in case.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local mechanic, and it was indeed the MAP sensor. They replaced it for 235€, and the car is running perfectly again.

I had a similar issue with my Talisman. Does it feel like the engine is struggling, especially when accelerating? It might be the MAP sensor - Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. It's a sensor that measures the pressure inside the engine's intake manifold. When it fails, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) gets wrong data which can cause all sorts of problems.
