Talisman rough idle stalling

I've got a 2015 Renault Talisman with a gasoline engine that's giving me headaches. It's got about 95000 km on it. Lately, the engine's been running really rough, especially at idle where it sometimes just stalls. The check engine light is also on, and when I try to accelerate, it jerks quite a bit. I've had a quick look and I think the cable or plug connection of the component is defective. Any ideas?

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old Peugeot 308, although it was a diesel. Rough running, stalling, check engine light – the whole nine yards. Turned out to be a dodgy coil pack. Have you checked those? Could also be a misfire. Is it throwing any specific error codes?

Coil pack, huh? I did suspect something like that. How did you figure out it was the coil pack on your Peugeot? And what error codes should I be looking for exactly?

Well, I did some digging online and found others with similar symptoms. A faulty coil pack was a common culprit. Eventually, I took it to a workshop who confirmed it. Honestly, without the right diagnostic tools, it's tough to be 100% sure. A proper mechanic can pinpoint the exact issue. Could be worth getting it checked out, especially with those symptoms. It cost me 95€ to repair it.

Thanks for the advice! I'll take it to a mechanic to get it properly diagnosed. Hopefully, it's just the coil pack and nothing more serious. Appreciate the help!
