Talisman rough idle stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Renault Talisman with a gasoline engine is experiencing rough idling, stalling, and jerking during acceleration, accompanied by a check engine light. The initial suspicion is a defective cable or plug connection. A similar issue in another vehicle was resolved by replacing a faulty coil pack, suggesting this could be a potential cause. It is recommended to have the vehicle diagnosed by a mechanic to confirm the exact issue and ensure proper repair.

Coil pack, huh? I did suspect something like that. How did you figure out it was the coil pack on your Peugeot? And what error codes should I be looking for exactly?

Well, I did some digging online and found others with similar symptoms. A faulty coil pack was a common culprit. Eventually, I took it to a workshop who confirmed it. Honestly, without the right diagnostic tools, it's tough to be 100% sure. A proper mechanic can pinpoint the exact issue. Could be worth getting it checked out, especially with those symptoms. It cost me 95€ to repair it.

Thanks for the advice! I'll take it to a mechanic to get it properly diagnosed. Hopefully, it's just the coil pack and nothing more serious. Appreciate the help!

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old Peugeot 308, although it was a diesel. Rough running, stalling, check engine light – the whole nine yards. Turned out to be a dodgy coil pack. Have you checked those? Could also be a misfire. Is it throwing any specific error codes?
