Terracan bumper antenna malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Hyundai Terracan diesel experienced issues with the bumper antenna, leading to non-functional locking/unlocking and requiring the key in the ignition to start the engine. To clarify, the unlocking and locking are completely non-functional at this point. There were no immediately preceding events that I can recall. Could this be a symptom that points definitively towards the antenna issue?

Ah, completely dead... When mine went, it was the same deal. I'd bet money on the antenna. If you are not savvy enough to perform the repair yourself, you'd better ask for professional help, as this might be a bit difficult to do. Have you considered going to a workshop?

I appreciate your insight. Following your advice, I took the vehicle to a workshop. The diagnostic confirmed a defective cable connection to the bumper antenna. The antenna was replaced, and the total cost amounted to 95€. Thank you again for your assistance.

Strange, I had something similar with my Terracan. You say unlocking/locking doesn't work properly... Does that mean it's intermittent, or completely dead? Was it preceded by anything?
