Terracan massage seat failure
Summary of the thread
The massage seat in a 2005 Hyundai Terracan diesel was not functioning, with an error memory indicating a fault. Initial checks of the fuses showed no issues, leading to a suggestion to inspect cable and plug connections under the seat for looseness or corrosion. After attempting to resolve the issue by checking these connections, the problem persisted, prompting a visit to a workshop. The issue was identified as a defective connection, which was repaired professionally.

Yep, nothing happens when I press the massage button. Where exactly should I be looking for these cable and plug connections? Is there anything specific I should look for besides obvious damage?

They're usually under the seat, connected to the seat motor. Give the cables a wiggle and see if that helps. But honestly, if you're not comfortable with car electrics, a workshop visit might be the best bet. I'd expect a damaged cable.

Thanks for the advice! I had a look at the cables, gave them a wiggle, but no luck. You're right, car electrics aren't my forte. Took it to the workshop; turns out it was a defective connection, just as you suspected! Cost me 95€ to fix. Appreciate the help!

Sounds annoying! The error memory stating a fault is a great starting point. So you tried to activate it and nothing happens at all? Have you checked the cable and plug connections under the seat? Those things can get loose or corroded.
