Territory DPF Issue

Hi, I have a 2012 Ford Territory diesel. I've noticed reduced engine power and smoke when accelerating. Could it be the diesel particulate filter?

Sounds like a DPF issue. I had similar symptoms with my old Peugeot. Was the engine light on? How is the fuel efficiency?

Yes, the engine light is on. Fuel efficiency seems worse. What was the issue with your Peugeot exactly?

The Peugeot also had a defective DPF. I tried a regeneration cycle, but it didn't work. Vehicle inspection confirmed it. Workshop time.

Thanks. I took it to a mechanic, vehicle inspection confirmed the DPF was defective. Quoted 1550€ for filter replacement.
