Territory Windshield Washer Heater Fault

My 2022 Ford Territory electric is throwing a weird error. The windshield washer heater seems kaput. Error memory has a fault stored, and during the recent cold snap, the spray nozzles were totally frozen. Any ideas? Could it really be the heating element already, with only 213413 km on the clock?

Frozen washer nozzles and a heater error at that mileage is unusual. I'd suspect a faulty connection first. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the windshield washer heater? It's a common point of failure.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly is that connection located? I'm not super familiar with the Territory's layout. Is it something easily accessible, or am I better off just taking it to a shop?

Given the symptoms and error code, a defective cable or plug connection to the component is most probable. However, pinpointing the exact location without specific diagrams can be tricky. It's likely near the washer motor, but accessibility varies. For a definitive diagnosis and repair, involving electrical components, a workshop visit is advisable.

Yep, you were spot on! Took it to the shop, and it was a corroded connector. They cleaned it up and replaced a small section of wire. Total cost was 95€ Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
