Thalia defrost air distribution flap issue
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Renault Thalia diesel is experiencing an issue with the defrost air distribution flap, resulting in low heating output and an error code. Possible causes include a defective cable or plug connection. It is suggested to have a workshop check the air distribution around the heater core, HVAC unit, and blower motor, as attempting self-repair without experience could worsen the issue.

No weird noises, but it's good to know someone else has had the same issue. You mention checking the air distribution; is that something I can easily do myself, or does it require special tools? I'm not very experienced with car repairs.

Probably best to get it checked by a workshop. I tried fiddling with mine and ended up making it worse. The repair cost me about 95€. Maybe just save yourself the hassle.

Thanks. I was hoping it would be a simple fix, but I'll take your advice and bring it to a shop. That price actually sounds pretty reasonable, so that's good. I'll get them to check the connections like you said too.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my Thalia. Check the air distribution around the heater core, could be the HVAC unit or even the blower motor. Any weird noises coming from the climate control?
