Thalia injection fault

My 2010 Renault Thalia diesel is giving me headaches. At 123k km, it's showing injection system fault symptoms: high fuel consumption, less power, stalls at idle, and plumes of smoke when accelerating. I checked the usual suspects – air filter is clean, fuel filter was changed recently. Any ideas?

I had a similar issue on my Symbol, though I can't recall the exact year. Turned out to be a dodgy connection in the injection system. Did you check the cable and plug connections to the injectors?

Thanks for the tip! Which cable/plug connections specifically? There are quite a few around the injection system. Was it difficult to access?

Honestly, I can't remember the exact location. But I remember fiddling around and probably making it worse, so I'd recommend getting it checked by a workshop, they should easily spot a defective cable or plug connection.

You nailed it! Took it to the shop, and it was a faulty plug connection on one of the injectors, just as you suspected. 95€ later, and it's running like a dream. Thanks a million!
