Tiburon ABS Fault

I'm pulling my hair out. My 2002 Hyundai Tiburon with a gasoline engine is throwing errors. The ABS lamp is constantly lit, traction control is non-existent, and the ABS system seems offline. I'm getting a speed signal fault. Could a defective control unit be the culprit? Anyone else run into this?

Summary of the thread

A 2002 Hyundai Tiburon is experiencing issues with the ABS system, including a constantly lit ABS lamp, non-functional traction control, and a speed signal fault. The problem is suspected to be a defective control unit. A similar case confirmed that the control unit was indeed the issue, and it was resolved by having it checked and replaced at a workshop.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my Tiburon. Is your odometer acting up too? Could be a dodgy input from the transmission affecting everything.

Odometer seems fine, but what exactly was wrong with your Tiburon? Was it really the control unit? How did you fix it?

Yeah, mine was the control unit. The diagnostic pointed straight to it. Honestly, I'd get it checked out by a workshop; those systems are too complex to mess with without the right tools and knowledge. Could save you headaches.

Thanks! I took your advice and went to the workshop. You were spot on – defective control unit. Cost me about 1000€ to get it sorted, but at least it's finally fixed! Really appreciate the help!
