Tiburon oil pressure warning light
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Hyundai Tiburon is experiencing an issue where the oil pressure warning light and speedometer warning light are illuminated. Diagnostics indicate an error related to engine oil temperature, suggesting a possible faulty sensor or bad connection. A similar case was resolved by addressing a faulty connection to the oil temperature sensor, located near the oil filter, and it is recommended to have a professional check and repair the connection.

Interesting! Thanks for the quick reply. Now that you mention it, where exactly is that sensor located? Also, how hard was it to get to the cable connection to check it?

On my car, the sensor was near the oil filter. Accessing the cable wasn't too difficult, but I ended up taking it to a workshop to be sure. They confirmed it was a bad connection and repaired it. Might be best to get it checked professionally to avoid any further issues. Cost me around 95€.

Okay, that's super helpful! Knowing it's likely the connection and the potential cost gives me a good starting point. I'll take it to a trusted mechanic and tell them what you suggested. Thanks a bunch for sharing your experience!

I had something similar happen with my Tiburon. The oil pressure light and the engine temperature warning were both going off. It turned out to be a faulty connection to the oil temperature sensor. Is it possible the cable or plug to the sensor is damaged or loose?
