Tiida Stalling and Power Loss

My 2016 Nissan Tiida with a gasoline engine (229076 km) has the check engine light on, stalls at idle, and has reduced power. Diagnostics suggest a defective fuel volume regulator, possibly from a high pressure pump malfunction. Has anyone else had this?

I have a Tiida, and your symptoms sound like something I had. The stalling at idle, especially. Have you noticed any changes in your fuel efficiency recently? A faulty fuel regulator can throw off the fuel-air mixture.

Yes, I've observed decreased fuel economy. Is a defective high pressure pump the most probable cause, or are there other factors I should investigate before replacing parts?

Given the symptoms and mileage, a failing high pressure pump seems likely, especially if it's impacting the fuel regulator. However, without more detailed diagnostics, it's hard to be sure. In my case, the pump was the problem. I recommend a thorough inspection by a qualified technician to confirm before replacing anything to avoid unnecessary expense. The repair cost me 1510€, so it's best to be certain.

I appreciate your insights. I'll schedule a diagnostic assessment with a reputable workshop to determine the malfunction before authorizing repairs. Thanks for sharing your experience; it's been invaluable.
