Titan brake pedal vibration

I've got a 2016 Nissan Titan with a diesel engine and around 67628 km on the clock. Recently, I've noticed a strange feedback from the brake pedal when braking. It's not quite a squeal, more of a vibration. I've checked the brake fluid level, and it seems fine. Could it be time for new brake shoes already, or am I missing something obvious? Anyone else experienced weird brake feel?

Summary of the thread

A 2016 Nissan Titan owner experienced a vibration in the brake pedal, suspecting it might be due to worn brake shoes. Another participant suggested that undervoltage could be affecting the vehicle's electronics, including the ABS module, causing the brake issue. The owner confirmed dim headlights at idle, indicating potential electrical problems. After taking the vehicle to a mechanic, it was found that undervoltage was indeed affecting the ABS, and both the electrical issue and worn brake shoes were addressed.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Interesting issue. With these symptoms, have you considered undervoltage in the vehicle? I had a very similar experience with my 2018 Volvo XC60, different brand, I know, but the symptoms sound eerily similar. Do you notice any other electrical weirdness, like the headlights dimming slightly at idle or the infotainment system acting up?

Undervoltage, you say? That's not something I would have considered. The headlights do seem a bit dimmer at idle sometimes, now that you mention it. What was the fix for your Volvo? Just curious if it's something I can try myself before taking it in.

In my case, the undervoltage was causing all sorts of strange things with the car's electronics, including the ABS module, which affected the brake performance. Given the symptoms and considering the potential complexity, it's probably best to get it checked out by a qualified mechanic. A proper diagnostic will pinpoint the root cause. I wouldn't recommend DIY-ing a brake system issue, would you?

Thanks for the advice! Took your recommendation and brought the Titan to a shop. Turns out, the undervoltage was indeed the culprit, messing with the ABS. They sorted out the electrical issue, and I had to replace the worn brake shoes while they were at it. Total cost was around 240€ Appreciate the help!
