Titan Collision Avoidance Error
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Nissan Titan owner experienced a collision avoidance error message and warning light, suspecting a faulty radar sensor. The issue was likely caused by a dirty radar sensor, as suggested by another individual who had a similar problem. Cleaning the sensor with a soft cloth and gentle cleaner resolved the issue, clearing the error codes and restoring the system's functionality.

Good call! Yeah, I was leaning towards checking the sensor first. Where exactly is it located on the Titan? Any tips for cleaning it, or anything I should be careful of?

On my Titan, the radar sensor is behind the grille, pretty much dead center. You should be able to see it without taking anything apart. Just use a soft cloth and some gentle cleaner. Don't use anything abrasive! If cleaning doesn't solve it, you might need to take it to a shop for a proper calibration. Mine ended up needing recalibration after a minor fender bender, but I am betting yours is dirty, and that you will be fine.

Thanks a ton for the advice! Turns out you were spot on. The radar sensor was just filthy. Gave it a good cleaning, cleared the error codes, and everything seems to be working perfectly now. A bit of electronic cleaner spray and the problem was resolved. Cost me 45€ for the cleaner. I'll keep an eye on it, but for now, crisis averted!

I had something similar happen on my Titan. The collision avoidance going nuts, error lights, the whole shebang. If I were to guess, I'd say it's the radar sensor. Before you start tearing things apart, have you checked to see if it's just dirty? Mud, snow, road grime can mess with those sensors big time.
