Thanks! That's a great point. Where exactly IS the washer heater located? I'm not even sure what I'm looking for, or which cable to check. Is it near the washer motor or somewhere else entirely?

On my Volvo, it was right next to the washer fluid reservoir. It's a small heating element, usually with a two-pin connector. Given your symptoms, and what you described, it sounds like a cable or plug connection of the component is defective. I would recommend you take it to the workshop.

Okay, awesome! I really appreciate the help. I took it to the workshop, and they confirmed it was a faulty connection on the washer heater, just like you said. They fixed it for 95€, and now it's working perfectly. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my old Volvo, though it wasn't a diesel. The symptoms were almost identical - error message and frozen nozzles in winter. In my case, it ended up being a corroded connector on the washer heater itself. Did you check the connections to the washer heater? It might be a bad plug.
