Hey, thanks for your reply! It really sounds like you've been through it. How much did the fun end up costing you, if you remember? And have there been any other issues that have come up since then?

Hey, of course I remember the costs. I was lucky and the mechanic fixed the problem with the pre-glow relay. It cost €280, but since then it's been fault-free and I've had no more trouble - a real relief! No further problems have arisen so far, so everything seems to be in order. Hope that helps you, buddy! Keep at it and don't let it get you down!

Oh boy, that sounds bearable. I'm relieved that this won't cost a fortune. Good to know there were no other problems. You really helped me out there, buddy! I guess I'll get in touch with my mechanic first and get this ironed out. Thanks for the help! Stay safe and healthy!

Hey, I also had a 2006 diesel VW Tiguan. Your symptoms remind me of what went wrong back then. In my case it was the DPF, totally blocked. Then there were the glow plugs that gave up. What a mess, I tell you. I had it done at the garage, luckily they're clever and know what they're doing. So it was also to do with the pre-glow relay, as you suspect, and the DPF. Hope that helps you a bit. Take care!
