Tourneo Battery Sensor Issue

I'm having an issue with my 2021 Ford Tourneo hybrid. At 230451 km, the battery is heavily discharged. I'm seeing an error message, weak and flickering lights, and an error code. The battery seems weak when starting. I've checked the terminals, but the problem remains. Could this be a serious electrical issue or a parasitic drain?

I had a similar issue with my 2018 BMW 530e. The symptoms are almost exactly the same. I initially thought it was a dead battery, but it was more complex. Did you measure the voltage drop when the car is off to check for parasitic draw? Also, have you tested the battery itself? It's good to rule out a simple battery failure first.

I haven't measured the voltage drop, but the battery seems fine with a multimeter. Can you tell me more about your BMW experience? What caused the battery issues, and how did you fix it? Did any error codes help?

The error codes pointed to a faulty battery sensor. The battery seemed fine with a multimeter, but the sensor was sending bad data, causing unnecessary discharge. I'd recommend having a workshop check this. A defective battery sensor could be the problem with your Tourneo too.

I took the Tourneo to a workshop, and they confirmed it was a defective battery sensor. Replacing it cost 315€. The error message is gone, and the car is working now. Thanks for your help.
