Tourneo High Voltage System Error

I have a 2022 Ford Tourneo hybrid with 133k km. I'm getting a 'high-voltage system error' message. Sometimes the engine shuts off, other times the power seems reduced. I checked for loose wires but couldn't see anything. Anyone experienced this before?

I recall a similar issue with my 2018 Renault Scenic. The engine shutdown and power reduction with a high-voltage error message suggests a battery drain or system malfunction. Have you seen any other unusual behavior or warning lights?

No other warning lights, just the high-voltage error. Do you think it could be the hybrid battery itself? The car's not that old, but with the mileage...

Given no other warning lights and the mileage, it's possible the high-voltage battery is degrading. But a technician needs to do a proper diagnosis. I'd take it to a workshop to avoid further damage.

You were spot on! The high-voltage battery was heavily discharged and slightly defective, likely from cable damage. Repair cost me 290€. Appreciate the help!
