Tourneo Hybrid Boost Pressure Issue

Experiencing issues with my 2020 Ford Tourneo hybrid. Only 23345 km. Check engine light is on, engine power is reduced, and engine response is poor. There's a whistling noise and a loud hissing sound upon acceleration. Sometimes, the engine stalls when idling, and fuel consumption is higher. Preliminary diagnostics suggest a fault with the boost pressure actuator. Anyone else encountered a similar problem or have insights regarding the boost control system or a defective actuator valve?

Sounds like a possible issue with the turbo system. Is the whistling noise constant or only under acceleration? It could be a leak in one of the hoses.

The whistling is definitely more pronounced during acceleration. Could a leak in a hose connected to the turbo system cause all the symptoms I am experiencing, including the engine stalling and increased fuel consumption?

A leak could certainly cause those symptoms, but stalling is extreme. However, a faulty boost pressure actuator can cause all of it. I would recommend taking it to a workshop to have it checked properly.

I took the Tourneo to a local mechanic, and after their diagnostic check, it confirmed the electrical bypass valve was defective. The repair cost was 250€. The car is now running smoothly again.
