Trafic AdBlue Empty Error No Start

I'm having trouble with my 2016 Renault Trafic diesel. The speedometer says the AdBlue tank is empty, but it's full. There's also an error code stored. The engine won't start. Could a bad AdBlue output from the tank to the dosing unit be the problem?

Sounds like it. I saw the same thing on a Master van last week. If the output fails, the system thinks the tank is empty and won't let you start. Have you checked the SCR catalyst? A bad sensor there can cause similar issues, but it's less likely with those errors.

Thanks. Is there an easy way to check the SCR catalyst, or do I need special equipment?

You'll need diagnostic gear to properly test the SCR catalyst. It's easier to check the AdBlue injector for crystal build-up. If it's clean, the pump in the tank is probably bad. Based on what you're seeing, I think you need a new AdBlue tank. Take it to a workshop.

Thanks for confirming. I'll take it to a workshop to have the AdBlue tank checked and replaced. The estimated cost is around 250€.
