Trafic Air Con Issues

My 2000 Renault Trafic, diesel engine, air con is blowing warm air. The compressor doesn't kick in when I press the AC button. I've checked fuses and the blower motor seems fine. I suspect a faulty valve. Anyone had similar issues?

I had a similar issue with my Trafic. Check the pressure switch; it might be the culprit.

Interesting, thanks! Was your air con completely dead too, or just weak? Also, where exactly is the pressure switch located? Is it easy enough to test myself, or is it best left to a pro?

Yes, the AC was completely dead. I would advise visiting a workshop. In my case, the defect was within the valves, and it was replaced completely.

Right, thanks for the advice! I'll get it booked in at a local garage then. At least I have some idea of what to expect now. I've heard the cost could hit around 1000€, hopefully it won't be that much! Cheers again.
